“… And now, if you will set us to our task,
We will serve you four and twenty hours a day!
We can pull and haul and push and lift and drive,
We can print and plough and weave and heat and light,
We can run and race and swim and fly and dive,
We can see and hear and count and read and write!…”
(from The Secret of the Machines by Rudyard Kipling)
But even now, 100 years later, we still cannot make make technology run smoothly. The I-90 Project fell a bit off schedule due to technological difficulties. It will now return to course, but rather than releasing all the missed posts simultaneously I am adjusting the time release increments so that it finishes at the intended time without rushing through some of the best parts of the drive. The remaining 1141 posts will be released every 7 hours and 13 minutes rather than every 7 hours and 22 minutes as originally planned.
